I thought I was the only one!
Are you using 2.42 or MGE? MGE caused a similar problem for me. I was playing the game with no problem (SP), ended my turn, and the game locked up on me. Then I got a message very similar to yours. So naturally I Crtl-Alt-Del and restart my computer. Except my computer won't restart, my entire hard drive crashed! And then to top things off, while I was trying to fix my computer, the monitor died! But I don't think MGE caused that last problem. Wish I had an answer for you, but that computer was kinda old and I'm getting another one this week.

My brother is coming over next week to help me try to diagnose the problem (I'm no computer expert), if I find anything out I'll post it here.

Jinxo,

Actually, with this stack-dump, I would suggest you delete the game off of your harddrive and load it back up again, along with any patches/mods that you use.

The executable caused the crash at startup, so I would recomend just trying to reinstall that first--no sense going the full route, if only that step is needed.

I've also had a problem like that, and reinstalling worked.
