Help me! I made my own map but my start locations don't work how do I do that?

If you have PTW place the start location and start the game. If you want civ specific starts than right click and change the start locations properties.

If you are talking about using the editor to gen a map, then you can edit the map and select the start location. Select properties and then Owner. You can now set it to any civ or to first player.
First player means when you start you will select your civ and start there.
If you do not like the location, then select properties and then delete. Go to Map, then select brush type. Here you pick overlay and it has player start locations. You can drop one in the spot you want (if it is legal).
