Goddamn drunk drivers

FG: you'll be missed.

To his family: my condolences.

Trying to think of other stuff to say, but nothing comes to mind except this song. I don't know why. Well, he was in mingapulco. Maybe he'll always be there.

They say everything can be replaced
They say every distance is not near
So I remember every face
Of every man who put me here.

I see my light come shining
From the west unto the east
Any day now, any day now,
I shall be released.

They say every man needs protection
They say every man must fall
So I swear I see my reflection
Someplace so high above this wall.

I see my light come shining
from the west unto the east
Any day now, any day now,
I shall be released.

Standing next to me in this lonely crowd
Is a man who swears he's not to blame
All day long I hear him shout so loud
Crying out that he was framed.

I see my light come shining
from the west unto the east
Any day now, any day now,
I shall be released.

This is sad news. He was a fun-loving kinda guy, someone who liked to make his mark on the forum...

I used to wonder what would happen if someone on here died...what everyone's reaction would be. Now I know.

I always wondered about that if I died. No one really knows I post here, unless they use my bookmarks. But I have so many bookmarks, they would not know how much time I really spend here.

So if I did die, no one would really know. I'm not going anywhere, so if I stop posting for years (or even months) on end, it's safe to assume I'm dead.

If I died I think the only way it would be communicated here would be through Chris62. If I didn't post for months he would probably call my place to see what's going on.

Lots of my family know about "this place".
Walk up on me giggling to myself, shake their head, and walk away.

Not that this is the case here, but I wonder how easy it would be to fake your own death on Apolyton.

Like anything on the internet... you never know for sure.
If you got a new Internet Provider... it would be very easy as your last act on your old provider to send some type of message. And as long as you don't post in a similar style under your new DL... nobody would ever know.

However, we will continue to take such messages seriously until proven wrong.

It happens occassionally that people fake deaths. I know of two cases, where very popular online personalities were "killed" only for people to later discover they never existed in the first place.

Near impossible. Unless really dead, nobody can rresist the temptation to come back.

of course they come back. But they do so as another poster.

It's a sick way of getting attention, but I'm sure some have done it. You come back as another poster and view the boards to see how much attention you get from posting your dead. Most often this is done with suicides though.

What a stomach turning fate. I think we probably all know someone who has died at the wheel, and quite often more than one. Again a sickening reminder of the consequences of not appreciating the responsibility of driving, and a ramification of this that runs very close to all our hearts.

And we never did find out who wrote that 'see you at Apolyton' on the toilet of that garage near his home

Shiiiiiit.

I've been absent from these forums lately, and today I decided to visit Apolyton and see what's new, and then I saw a link in the "About Apolyton" section... and found these sad news.

Descanse em paz, faded glory. Que a terra lhe seja leve.
