Last I heard it'd be difficult if not impossible to get a conviction for it under Canada's laws, since we don't have nearly as strong intellectual property laws.

well, with finding out that mandrake 9.2 kills lg cds, and os x 10.1.3 kills removable firewire drives, i'll expect winxp sp2 to break something else important.
only difference will be that for the linux breakage, it's ignored by most people. for the mac breakage, the mac people try and hush it up. now, the windows breakage, that's front page news. why it's a surprise, i don't know... because you know windows is gonna break something.

Apple has always had incredibly poor beta testing. Mostly because they favor secrecy over stability. Why bother having 10,000 beta testers when you can have 10 who can keep their mouth totally shut?
